Born from the coupling of a gnu with a hyena, the Naked Chefs hit the scene in late 1999 with an opening performance at the St. Ives Motel. Other gigs followed as their notoriety grew and they became renowned for playing good time rock and blues that punters could dance to. The numbers were interspersed with jokes from rhythm guitarist Paul (Dr Death) Darer and generally they went down well.
Further upgrading of equipment e.g. guitars which stayed in tune and an amplifier for Paul resulted in them being able to play Ladies Night for the Huntingdon Round Table at the St. Ives golf club. Gigs are coming thick and fast now and if you want to catch them, consult the 'Gigs' page.
